Wind Driven Waves

The wind ushers the waves against one another, against the shore and against the rocks on the beach. It creates ripples of unrest among the top of the water. Tiny splashes land on your fingers, as they linger just over the waves. The water is refreshingly cold, and brings with it a constant reminder of rejuvenating power of the change lapping against the coastlines. Water waves are surface waves that occur on the free surface of oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, canals, small puddles, and ponds. They are usually the result from the wind blowing over a vast stretch of fluid surface.
