Valparaiso Traffic

The busy streets are alight with human chatter and the onslaught of morning traffic. Construction has already begun, and almost drowns out the seagulls as they fly overhead. Cars are rushing past, honking at pedestrians as they are faced with crossing the street. Street vendors talk among themselves as they set up for the day, and the entire city blooms awake.

Valparaíso is a city, port, and commune of Chile, center of its third largest conurbation (Greater Valparaíso). It is located 69.5 miles (111.8 km) northwest of Santiago [3] and is one of the country's most important seaports. The city is the capital of the Valparaíso Province and the Valparaíso Region. Although Santiago is Chile's official capital, the National Congress of Chile meets in Valparaíso since 1990.
