The Paris Metro

The Paris Metro is the rapid transit system that consists of 16 lines and 300 stations. Paris has the second busiest metro system in Europe. Late at night, the trains may become less crowded, allowing passengers to take a seat and wait for the arrival at their stop. The train rattles along station-to-station at about 22 mph. As the train comes to a halt, you may need to press a button or lift a lever to exit the train and depart onto the platform.
