Fitted with a propellor, closed cockpit, thin wings, and a Rolls-Royce PV-XII V-12 engine (later named the Merlin), the Supermarine Spitfire was a true fighter. The planes were designed to be able to fly over 251 mph. In the sound feature, you can hear a spitfire taxiing along the runway after landing. British spitfires were used for combat and were able to climb high into the air for diving at extreme speeds.
