Soft Wind Howl

The wasteland is awash with sand and silence. Remnants of a bygone world whistle and wobble as the eerie tones of a whipping wind squeeze their way through some broken opening, howling as if in mourning for the loneliness. Only a handful of survivors straddle the edge of existence as earth and time begin to reclaim their natural place as the true powers with dominion over all creation. The never ending cycle of systems that come and systems that go begins anew and humanity struggles once again to achieve greatness. In meteorology, winds are often referred to according to their strength, and the direction from which the wind is blowing. Short bursts of high speed wind are termed gusts. Strong winds of intermediate duration (around one minute) are termed squalls. Long-duration winds have various names associated with their average strength, such as breeze, gale, storm, hurricane, and typhoon.
