Description
SETI, or the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, surveys the sky for evidence of transmissions from civilizations in outer space. SETI began using strong radio telescopes to attempt to both send and interpret alien signals to and from space in the 1960s. There are currently 143 SETI radio telescopes located around the world surveying the skies and the space beyond.
