Description

Lovely shoreline serves to shelter little waves washing up, creating a serene place for weary water, whose travels have taken it far and wide, from earth to sky and back again, to be at rest. Such a soft sound cannot do anything but sooth frayed nerves and gently wash away worries accumulated over the course of a busy week. Let the wetness of this superb soundscape make you fresh and new again. The Saint Lawrence River is a large river flowing approximately from southwest to northeast in the middle latitudes of North America, connecting the Great Lakes with the Atlantic Ocean. The river traverses the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario and forms part of the international boundary between Ontario and New York in the United States. During the Second World War, the Battle of the St. Lawrence involved a number of submarine and anti-submarine actions throughout the lower St. Lawrence River and the entire Gulf of Saint Lawrence. During this time, German U-boats sank a number of merchant marine ships and three Canadian warships.
