Description
The pouring rain pelts down upon the protective metal roof you propped over your head. The popping sounds from the impact remind you of how you once loved making popcorn back when you had a nice warm kitchen to compose your latest culinary masterpiece. But now all you are left with is this thin tin sheet of metal shielding you from these unwelcome showers, and a cold can of carrots you can consume to curb your aching appetite. Metal roof sheeting in the form of corrugated galvanized steel was a great aid to opening up America in its early days and is still used today in parts of the developing world. Metal roofs can be used to cover large buildings because of their high strength to weight ratio. The roof of the new Wembley Stadium is an example. It consists of approximately 40,000 sq ft of steel sheeting. Metal Roofing is a very versatile building material. It is durable. It can be used on residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural buildings. It is not only used in roofing applications, but also may be used as a wall covering.
