Description
Chilled northern air captures the essence of every breath, every car engine, and every footstep that passes through this frozen winter landscape in the heart of Moscow. Like any urban setting, the mass movement of bodies is like a living symphony that only the most discerning and aware ears will recognize. Prospekt Mira, Peace Avenue in english, includes the station of the Moscow Metro's Koltsevaya Line, which was opened on 30 January 1952. The station walls are laid with dark red Ural marble and chessboard floor pattern is made of grey and black granite. The ceiling vault is decorated with casts, and lighting comes from several cylindrical chandeliers.
