Description
Summer sun sends the skaters scattering throughout the park where they play and practice their flipping craft, often falling but never failing to have fun. The daring tricks trucked out for the pleasure of players and curious onlookers awes and inspires all who have the chance to experience the feats performed or see feet fractured in the wonderful world of the improvised skatepark. The Plaza Nueva of Bilbao, Spain, is a monumental square of Neoclassical style built in 1821. There is no definitive origin or inventor of the skateboard. It is suggested that its beginnings may have been in the 1930s and 1940s, when children would participate in soapbox races, using soap-boxes attached to wooden planks on rollerskate wheels.
