Peaceful Lagoon

The waves wash ashore with a fair amount of force as the seagulls gather overhead for another attempt at a feeding frenzy along the sandy shore. Lay down in the lounge chair overlooking the beach and begin to let go of all your worries, relaxing into the smooth rhythm of the waving waters below. A lagoon is a body of shallow water separated from the deeper sea by a barrier beach, sandbank, coral reef, or similar feature. In Latin America, often the use of “laguna”, which lagoon translates to, is used to describe a lake, such as Laguna Catemaco. The biggest lagoon in the world is located in New Caledonia, a collection of islands in the southwest pacific.
