Description
Layers of motion captured between the branches of fallen trees, reflecting off of the still water, vibrating through the flesh of the many crawling critters and flying insects that charm into being the majesty of the forest. You still still. Not calling to the wind. Not checking the status of a wicked friend. But resting, idly, in the middle of the ever moving ever growing expansion of the most beautiful place in the universe. The Neches River flows for 416 miles (669 km) through east Texas to its mouth on Sabine Lake near the Rainbow Bridge. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service purchased land along the Neches River 2006 for the creation of the Neches River National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge currently covers 1-acre (4,000 m2), but is proposed for 25,000 acres (100 km2).
