The storybook town ascends from its slumber as the morning birds begin to chatter and the rays of the rising sun slowly creep over the hill and descend upon the people, creep through the tiny slits in their eyes. No alarm clocks or crashing garbage trucks to wrench the sweet citizens from their sleep. Just the stillness of the early breeze and the occasional crowing from some solitary bird on the roof. Morning Star is the name given to the planet Venus when it appears in the East (morning sky) before sunrise. The name (which comes from the Middle English word morwening) was formed using the word "morn", and originally meant the coming of the sunrise as evening meant the beginning of the close of the day. Morning may also be used in a strictly personal sense, to refer to the period immediately following waking up, irrespective of the current time of day. This modern permutation of morning is due largely to the worldwide spread of electricity, and the concomitant independence from natural light sources.
