The ships docked in the marina creak and groan as the water swirls in eddies and laps against the pier. The wind billows in their sails and flaps their flags as seagulls call overhead, searching for an easy meal. The pier in most harbors is usually floating along with the boats. If it didn’t, then depending on the tide you wouldn’t be able to reach your boat or you’d be underwater!
