Washing away the world of worry you jump head first into the rushing rescue of a cool calming river. The restorative waters are like a wellspring of fresh vitality filling every parched, precious pore on your buoyant little body. Bounce back to life with the spirited sound of natures springtime symphony. The Kolubara is a 123 km (76 mi) long river is western Serbia. In the region of Kolubara, it is estimated that coal deposits are as much as 4 billion tons, with coal layers going to 50 m (164 ft) deep, with over 20 million tons of coal already being extracted each year. Portions of the river were transferred to an artificial river bed. This allowed the opening of a new surface coal field with estimated coal reserves of over 30 million tons. The Kolubara was the site of one of the major battles on the Balkans in the World War I, the Battle of Kolubara in 1914.
