Kitten Purr

Cuddle up into a ball with this soft, soothing sound of satisfaction. Scientists are still unsure of how cat's produce the purring sound. Most likely it is the rapid twitching of the muscles in the throat as they breathe. Other animals that are known to purr are: raccoons, guinea pigs (while in heat), rabbits, squirrels, ring-tailed lemurs, elephants and gorillas (while eating) are also known to purr.
