Kauri trees are a species of evergreen. Abundant during the Jurassic period, these majestic trees are now found in the Southern Hemisphere and especially in New Zealand. Kauri trees have enormous trunks with smooth and light-colored bark that peels and flakes below the thick and leathery leaves overhead.
