Description
Saddle up on the dusty trail and head on out to a brand new day. Horses are able to sleep both standing up and lying down. Unlike humans, horses do not sleep in unbroken periods of time, but take naps. They may spend anywhere from four to fifteen hours a day standing, and a few minutes to several hours lying down. Daily sleep time may range from several minutes to a couple of hours, mostly in intervals of about 15 minutes. They only have to lie down for an hour or two every few days to meet their minimum REM sleep requirements. Giddyup! and keep your hooves moving all day long.
