Hen House

This backyard hen house is fairly small and contains only nine hens. They have enough room to roost over their eggs, but need to leave the coop in order to stretch their legs much. The high-pitched cry of the chicks lets us know that these chickens are likely raised for their meat as opposed to their eggs. The rooster will be kept in a separate pen if the owners wish to keep any eggs unfertilized for eating.
