Heavy Rain With Thunder

The heavy rain hitting the roof is loud enough to keep anybody awake. Rain is liquid water in the form of droplets that have condensed from atmospheric water vapor and then precipitated—that is, become heavy enough to fall under gravity. Rain is a major component of the water cycle and is responsible for depositing most of the fresh water on the Earth. It provides suitable condition s for many types of ecosystem, as well as water for hydroelectric power plants and crop irrigation. Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the nature of the lightning and distance of the listener, thunder can range from a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble. The distance of the lightning can be calculated by the listener based on the time interval from when the lightning is seen to when the sound is heard.
