Footsteps Through Dirt

Whether you’re on site at a construction project or your car broke down on a desert highway the sound of your steps stays the same. The crunch and grind of bootheels on pebbles is as noticeable as the dust trail left in their wake. Perhaps not surprisingly, there are many kinds of dirt or soil which differ in their composition and origin. All soil was once rock, but the forces erosion over time turned proud stone into humble dirt.
