Description
This is the sound of a crackling fire in a fireplace that is slowly dying out. The "crackle" you hear is caused by the burning wood vaporizing gaseous wood alcohol, water, and steam. If too much vapor is trapped inside the wood, it will exert pressure and cause the wood to crackle.
