Description
The belly of this beast bubbles up through the crust, coming out as a cascade of steam and boiling hot water that could only be appropriately described as springing straight from the dragon's mouth. The molten core of our earth emanates its hot essence in many ways, eventually washing up to the surface, washing away everything in its path like some great beast come to cleanse its scaly skin. Dragon's Mouth Spring is a geothermal feature in Yellowstone National Park, USA. The park was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872. It is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, though it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone spans an area of 3,468 square miles (8,980 km2), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. During the construction of the post office in Gardiner, Montana, in the 1950s, an obsidian projectile point of Clovis origin was found that dated from approximately 11,000 years ago.
