Classic Jeep V8 Engine

Jeep is the oldest off-road vehicle (also sport utility vehicle – SUV) brand, with Land Rover coming in second. The original vehicle became the primary light 4-wheel-drive vehicle of the US Army and allies during World War II. As a generic military term, "Jeep" is often used to describe any small military Light Utility Vehicle similar to the original Willy MB jeep. There are many explanations of the origin of the word "jeep," all of which have proven difficult to verify. One suggests that soldiers were so impressed with the new vehicle that they informally named it after Eugene the Jeep, a character in the Popeye cartoons. Eugene the Jeep was Popeye's "jungle pet" and was "small, able to move between dimensions and could solve seemingly impossible problems.
