Chepachet Spring Night

The piercing tones of the cicada chorus cover over the sultry sounds of frogs and other midnight critters crawling about. The powerful presence of nature's nocturnal scene is surely enough to chase away the day's worries and pressures imposed upon you out in the busy world. Chepachet is a village in the town of Glocester in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. Chepachet, meaning "where rivers meet", was originally the home of the Pequot and Nipmuc Natives Americans. In the 1990s Chepachet gained brief national attention in episodes of television's The X-Files as the location of the youth summer home of main character Fox Mulder.
