Calm Stream

Among the sunlit branches of tress, the stream rushes steadily. It glides over rocks, carrying with it flowers, and fallen leaves. The water is moved along by a rhythmic and slow current. It kisses the tips of your fingers and toes, and as you close your eyes, you can imagine it carrying away any thoughts that you might want to release. In their place, is left the imprint of the cooling water, and a sincere sense of calm.

A stream is a body of water with a current, confined within a bed and stream banks. Depending on its locale or certain characteristics, a stream may be referred to as a branch, brook, beck, burn, creek, "crick", gill kill, lick, mill race, rill, river, syke, bayou, rivulet, streamage, wash, run or runnel. Streams are important as conduits in the water cycle, instruments in groundwater recharge, and corridors for fish and wildlife migration.
