Busy Parking Garage

Multi-story parking lots, or parking garages, offer drivers more parking availability. The first multi-story parking garage, designed by Holabird and Roche, was built in 1918 for the Hotel La Salle in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The concept of parking cars in multi-story buildings has become globally popular. Levels are often separated by interior or exterior ramps. Although the bigger the structure, the more parking, be wary: you may find yourself in a particularly busy parking garage in which you may have to make several turns around each level before finding a perfect spot.
