Busy City Intersection 2
Take your lazy mind out for a quick stroll around the block, and remember to look both ways before crossing the street. An intersection is a road junction where two or more roads either meet or cross. There are many famous intersections found around the world. One such intersection is that of Haight and Ashbury Streets in San Francisco, California, US. The surrounding district is commonly called The Haight, which is famous for its role as a center of the 1960s hippie movement. A July 7, 1967, Time magazine cover story on "The Hippies: Philosophy of a Subculture," and other major media interest in the Haight-Ashbury district, vaulted it to national attention and popularized the counterculture movement across the country and around the world.
