Band Saw

Get working on your project to the tune of a slicing band saw and chop through your thick block head. A band saw uses a blade consisting of a continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge. Band speeds range from 40 to 5000 feet per minute. Band saws can be particularly useful for cutting irregular or curved shapes, but can also be used to produce straight cuts. The radius of a curve that can be cut on a particular saw is determined by the width of the band and its flexibility. In mining industries band saws are used to cut stone into large blocks. Instead of a thin flat blade these use a thick cable coated in diamond allowing it to cut through the hard rock. Cut away the noise and focus to the sound of a band saw.
