Afternoon Chirping

Well into the afternoon, the heat has subsided and the many birds overhead have begun to sing with as much energy and enthusiasm as they did in the early morning. Using his syrinx, a male bird will chirp away predators and establish his territory before the sun goes down and the evening begins.
